Zachary, Skyler and new baby Thalia

Just a quick note as I have to get Zac to bed but we are all wonderful, Zac is pulling himself up to stand at the coffee table, falls over and picks himself back up - and still cute as a button.

Speaking of cute and buttons, I met baby Thalia (my niece!) for the first time on Monday and she is beautiful and pocket-size so I nicknamed her Thalia Teacup. We are so excited to have Kevin, Chris and wee Thalia here with us!

Skyler had a performance with his after school program where he played a drum, sang and danced (including jazz-hands and some break-dancing spins) along with his group and for 5 year olds they were great! He took big deep dramatic bows at the end of each performance and it was super cute.

Welcome to the Family Thalia!

Love

What Zac & Skyler are up to this week

Oh, I'm behind on a lot these days but that's okay we have a lot going on.

Zachary is wonderful. He is exploring his world, crawling all over the house and getting into things. We set up a playpen in the living room to corral him in case we need to turn our back for a second so he can't pull down a lamp, grab electrical cords, pull the magazines off the coffee table, push buttons on the computer, knock over chairs - all things he has done! He moves so fast but he's very stealthy so we'll need to keep our eyes on this one Extra close. And he can pull himself up to standing now so we had to swap out all of the side sleepers and small cribs for heavy duty pieces.

He's eating food and loving it. Still nurses but drinks water from a sippy cup and loves fruit in a mesh holder. We are teaching him to make a clucking sound when he wants to nurse or eat (he does some of the time) and starting signing (milk). The sweetest of all - when you say "Up?" he raises his arms in the air to come up!

He LOVES his brother - nobody can make a crying Zac smile and laugh like Skyler can, he really puts on a show! And he loves him mommy & daddy. He's all smiles and blue eyes and where ever we go grandmas get mushy for him.

Skyler is doing great, he had a big performance with the other kids in his after-school program - his group were cavemen and they played a rhythm on drums with sticks. It was great, we are really lucky to have him in this program. he still takes his piano lessons and now has Tree Frog Trek, a class where they teach the kids about creatures and taking care of nature. He got in trouble for kissing a girl. I asked the teacher if the girl minded and she said that she didn't think so.

And to fill everyone in, Kevin, Chris and Thalia are doing good. They are all back in Albuquerque and Thalia is gaining weight and nursing - it's slow going but she can take her time, we can all wait until she's healthy enough to travel and the doctors see the time is right for her to come home to SF (Oakland).

It is HOT here today! 98 degrees in SF... that's rare! Skyler got to have a water fight at school and "throw water on the girls!"

Red Letter Day!

Skyler can go across all the monkey bars, and ring-which you have to go hand to hand. All 4 of them at the Blue Park, and both the rings and bars at school.

And many other big kid things! and...

Today was Zac's first time on the swings
(at the blue park where it really counts with daddy!)

Zachary likes the sandbox

Zachary went to the park and sat in the sand for he first time today and he didn't put the sand in his mouth, but laughed when it was poured on his feet.

Zac 7 months, Sky 5.5 and Thalia 3 days old!

Zachary is fabulous and crawling all over, big smile giggles and raspberries. Sky and Zac loved their trip to Disneyland and to visit Ahmee & Baba and Danielle, Bob & Sequoia (cutie-pie -I need to catch-up on my bloggin' for that). We also got to see Uncle Richard & Marcia and Uncle Micheal and Julie, had a great BBQ, swam in the pool... All great family fun!

The biggest event is that his new little cousin Thalia was born!! (Daddy is Uncle Kevin and Mama is Auntie Chris). Completely unexpected in May, and not quite to SF yet, she decided to join our world a few weeks early in Gallup, New Mexico, she's now in Albuquerque, New Mexico resting with mommy. Soon they will all be here in the Bay Area! We can't wait!
