BOO! did I scare you?

Halloween fun! We started the day with a SPOOKY and Hilarious Halloween Parade at Peabody (Skyler's school). We went to school around snack time with all of the other moms and dads to help Sky get into his costume and he and all of the other characters paraded around the school yard and then around the block showing off their Halloween best . Skyler was Luke Skywalker, there were a few Darth Vaders & Storm Troopers, lots of Spider Men, princesses, pirates, cowboys & girls... check out the pictures, they were really cute! Then in the evening we went to Union Street (where Nana, the Purple Witch, works) and joined the crowds of kids trick or treating at the posh little shops. After dinner (Skyler's favorite, Pasta Pomodoro) we went to some HUGE houses near us to get HUGE candy. Zachary was a little green frog but slept through most of it.

ZAC is three weeks old

Three weeks old! Wow, three weeks ago, we didn't have a baby yet, now we do! It's like night and day (and all night and day with the feeding and burping) our lives are completely different now. It's a lot of work, especially when they are this little, but so much fun and he's so sweet and wonderful and we love him so much.

Skyler was very sick all week so we've been totally thrown off schedule, but we did just kind of lay around and bond more, all four of us just hanging out on the couch all week. We are all feeling better now and ready for Halloween fun!

Zachary is holding his head up great, making little coo and gerr sounds and looking people in the eye (for a moment, then he's back to looking at your hairline). If you clap your hands in a circle around your head he will follow your hands with his eyes. He's eating and getting chubby and his face is changing a little, like Skyler's did, he's looking more like a heavy set little old man - CUTE!!

Two week old baby! and a happy big brother

Ahh, our two week old sweet little bundle! I love him so much! Skyler is a wonderful big brother, he's so gentle and loving.

I took Zac into the Dr. for his two week visit and they were surprised that he has gained so much weight - he was born 7lb 2oz and now he's 8lb 5 oz - they said that I might be producing a little too much milk and gave me some tips to cut back. He's not an unhealthy weight, they said that it's great that he's growing so much from the milk, they just said that he could cut back a bit moving forward.

He's starting to look around more, hold his head up and spend more time each day awake and looking at his new world. Skyler loves to hold and kiss him and is really good about being quiet when he's sleeping (most of the time, unless Matt and Sky are playing Star Wars, then there is no quiet). Right now Zachary is swinging in his little swing as happy as can be. He still is waking up every couple of hours during the night to nurse and get a diaper change so I am out of my mind tired.
