I noticed a change...

interesting item - Sky is calling me dad, not daddy. Almost 9, seems like the timing is right to me. I can still get daddy from Zac. For a little while at least.

Auntie April's Chicken and Waffles!

Skyler's YMCA camp - this week is learning about food, nutrition and how to cook. Today they had a field trip to Auntie April's Chicken and Waffles where they learned how to cut and cook collard greens, peel and cut sweet potatoes, make waffles and fried chicken and then they got to eat what they made! He loved it and said they put maple syrup in every hole in the waffle. This morning they made sushi. This week has also included egg breakfast burritos, learning how to julienne sweet potatoes for fries and how to make homemade granola. Every girl appreciates a guy that can cook!

Sent Skyler to the store by himself for the first time!

Skyler went to Safeway all by himself to buy milk! Mom and dad were a little nervous but we are only three houses way and he knew where to go to get it and how to go through the check out line. I must admit that I walked over and peeked inside, I saw him in line and went home. He was so proud of himself what a big boy!

Chabot - first week of summer vacation!

Took Sky and Zac to Chabot for some space and science fun! The first week of summer vacation has been action packed!
