What Zac & Skyler are up to this week

Oh, I'm behind on a lot these days but that's okay we have a lot going on.

Zachary is wonderful. He is exploring his world, crawling all over the house and getting into things. We set up a playpen in the living room to corral him in case we need to turn our back for a second so he can't pull down a lamp, grab electrical cords, pull the magazines off the coffee table, push buttons on the computer, knock over chairs - all things he has done! He moves so fast but he's very stealthy so we'll need to keep our eyes on this one Extra close. And he can pull himself up to standing now so we had to swap out all of the side sleepers and small cribs for heavy duty pieces.

He's eating food and loving it. Still nurses but drinks water from a sippy cup and loves fruit in a mesh holder. We are teaching him to make a clucking sound when he wants to nurse or eat (he does some of the time) and starting signing (milk). The sweetest of all - when you say "Up?" he raises his arms in the air to come up!

He LOVES his brother - nobody can make a crying Zac smile and laugh like Skyler can, he really puts on a show! And he loves him mommy & daddy. He's all smiles and blue eyes and where ever we go grandmas get mushy for him.

Skyler is doing great, he had a big performance with the other kids in his after-school program - his group were cavemen and they played a rhythm on drums with sticks. It was great, we are really lucky to have him in this program. he still takes his piano lessons and now has Tree Frog Trek, a class where they teach the kids about creatures and taking care of nature. He got in trouble for kissing a girl. I asked the teacher if the girl minded and she said that she didn't think so.

And to fill everyone in, Kevin, Chris and Thalia are doing good. They are all back in Albuquerque and Thalia is gaining weight and nursing - it's slow going but she can take her time, we can all wait until she's healthy enough to travel and the doctors see the time is right for her to come home to SF (Oakland).

It is HOT here today! 98 degrees in SF... that's rare! Skyler got to have a water fight at school and "throw water on the girls!"
