75th Birthday Party for Jules in SF

We had a great weekend! Jules and Judy (Ahmee & Baba) came from LA along with Uncle Richard and Auntie Marcia. Danielle, Bob & Sequoia (now 4 years old) came from Santa Barbara. We all got to hang out and play, eat, drink and be merry.

Thurs. Ahmee and Baba came over for dinner, watch the Dodger game and eat Chinese food. Friday Danielle, Bob and Sequoia came over for pizza and the kids ran around like maniacs having a great time. It was the first time they had been to our house and Skyler got to show Sequoia all of his cool toys and games. The adults sat around catching up and watched the kids play until 10pm when Zac started getting tired.

Saturday was the big day! We started with Danielle, Bob & Sequoia coming over and we took them to Golden Gate Park, went up int he De Young tower to see the amazing view of the park from 9 stories up. Then over to the Japanese Tea Garden to run around the little paths, over bridges and look at the beautiful plants, trees, pond and waterfalls and little buildings that make you feel like you are walking into a Japanese work of art. I took Zac home for a nap while the rest of the group went to the Blue Park (our playground) and ran around.

Saturday night was the big 75th B-day party for Jules at Fleur De Lys restaurant in San Francisco (http://www.fleurdelyssf.com/) where famous chef Hubert Keller makes the most beautiful and delicious French Cuisine. Judy had pictures of all of the guest when they were young kids to mark the where we sat and announced that when Jules was young he never had a party where all of his little friends were invited and now this was that party. She put together a book of pictures and stories about Jules that she gathered from family and people he was close to and presented that to him. The food and the wines were amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and this wonderful big family and friends that gathered to celebrate looked fabulous and had a great time.

Sunday we went to Alcatraz Island as our birthday present to Jules and Judy, Matt, Skyler and I took the ferry over to Alcatraz and walked around the old prison and took the audio tour. We all had so much fun!
