Skyler's Secret Spy Academy B-Day Party!!

Skyler's 7th birthday party was a HUGE success! The theme was from the mystery books that he loves to read. It was a Secret Spy Party with 18 kids invited with secret invitations that had to be read holding it up to a mirror. We decorated the house and backyard with crime scene tape, black chalk foot prints and a white chalk body outline (very Keith Haring), had a bomb pinata and a secret map cake. Out in the backyard we set up giant refrigerator, dishwasher and big furniture boxes, cut doors and spray painted window and connected them all with zip ties into a big maze for the kids to run through.

We gave each kiddie a spy kit (dark sunglasses, stick on mustaches, magnifying glass, binoculars, flashlights, and each kid was given his/her own Secret Agent card with their name and photo on it. They ran around the backyard having a great time, played spy games and ate cake. At the end they got to trash the boxes and ended up rolling around the yard with some kids pushing the outside while other kids laid inside and got rolled over and over.

We got lots of photos of girls and boys in dark sunglasses and mustaches but we didn't get enough of our fabulous maze.
